Professional Skills Instructor
Hello! My name is Shamonica Howard, Academic Instructor at the 4C Academy.
I am a 2007 Graduate of Albany State University and hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. I also hold a Master of Science Degree in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from Troy University. Prior to joining the 4C Academy in 2019, I spent 5 years at Albany Technical College as an Academic Advisor and Student Navigator of Academic Advisement. While at Albany Technical College, I assisted the High School Coordinator in the new Move on When Ready Initiative, which gave high school students the opportunity to obtain an Associate’s Degree before graduating high school. During this time, I worked closely with high school counselors and students in placement testing, enrollment, and academic counseling.
Teaching is my passion and I love building lasting relationships with my students. Joining the 4C Academy has given me the opportunity to play an important role in the lives of shaping our future leaders. In Professional Skills, students will learn the importance of the use of soft skills and how they are necessary when obtaining a job or career in a professional environment. The purpose of Professional Skills is to assist the student in becoming an effective communicator, strong leader, team player, improve problem solving skills, enhance creative and critical thinking skills, better teamwork, efficiency, and productivity. Upon the completion of Professional Skills, it is my goal to ensure that students are ready to transition into the professional world.
