10th Grade

PATHWAY OVERVIEW

Audio Video Technology & Film (AVTF) is a pathway that provides hands-on learning opportunities for students who are interested in the television and film industry. Topics covered in the courses include industry terminology, safety with equipment such as cameras, tripods, iMAC desktops, and lab operations. Students also learn scriptwriting, production teams, lighting, recording and editing, and studio production.

Upon completion of the pathway, students may sit for the SkillsUSA Broadcast Video Production certification exam.

Course 1: Audio Video Technology & Film I (Beginner)
Course 2: Audio Video Technology & Film II (Intermediate)
Course 3: Audio Video Technology & Film III (Advanced)

• Cinematographer and photography director

Students in the AVTF program will have the opportunity to work on in-house video productions that highlight eventshappening at the 4C Academy, which provides students with real-world experience working with clients and bringing their vision to life!


11th and 12th Grade

INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION

After successful completion of the Audio Video Technology & Film courses, students will have the opportunity to learn Avid® editing software, an editing software used by professionals in the film industry.

Internship opportunities with media companies and news stations in Albany, Georgia may be available for 12th grade students who qualify.
